If you happen by Spokane, WA. feel free to look me up. I would love to check out your van. I'm looking at two years and taking a trip back to the east side of the U.S.

have a problem, someone might know what it is, when i turn the ignition key to start i loose voltage to the plus side of the coil, i checked it at the ignition switch and i have voltage at ign.1 termanel and when i turn the key to the cranking position i loose voltage, the only thing i did was replace the voltage regulator when i put the new engine in, i cant see were that should mater anyways, why do i loose voltage when i turn the key to start ? any help would be greatly appreciated/ john

On the ignition switch there are 2 different poles for ignition voltage, Run which goes thru the ballast and Start, which bypasses the ballast. The Start circuit is the one you need to check.

ok, the red wire goes to ign.1  it goes to the plus side of the coil, shouldnt there be voltage there when im cranking the engine ? i loose voltage to the ign.1 when i crank the engine over, then when i let off the key it has voltage back again, i.m not useing ign.2 sence i did away with the balast. the engine does crank,

The switch shuts off power to ign 1 (Run) in Start.
YOU removed ign 2 (Start) so YOU removed the power to the coil in the start position!

i havent fired it up yet, still repairing all the wireing to the ignition switch wires were spliced everywere, i want to make sure everythings right so no problems down the road, i may one day rewire the intire van buts not to bad now, my wife bought me mufflers and a universal exhaust kit from summit, but wont let me have anything till christmas, this overhaul was supose to give me something to do all winter '' she says'' but its about all done now, i still want to do some body work but may wait till the rust pokes through i have some bubbles in both rear corners, i think all these A100s rust out there, thanks for asking tho,

you can see on the left side i had to cut and bend up the floor 1'' so the headers would clear, i reworked the side panel of the dog box to fit, i desided to fire it up with the open headers and had my wife reach in and turn the key i forgot to tell her it would be loud she must have jumped a foot off the ground, lol anyways it has great oil presure and i was able to fill the trany, waiting for the exhaust then i can test drive it,
