Leaking Gas out the Cap area Empty Leaking Gas out the Cap area

I was wondering if any pick up owners ever have Gas leak out the cap/filler neck? I have the Leaking gas issue if I park in the sun and have over 1/2 tank of fuel.(Far from a full tank). A new Repop Tank didn't make a Difference. My gauge is accurate too. Also I believe the cap is vented and I have a pad above tank to body. Any Thoughts ?     Gary '68 p/U

There is a vent tube that tends to harden and crack over the years. Here’s a thread that discusses this issue... https://vintage-vans.forumotion.com/t44116-fuel-tank-vent-tube?highlight=Vent

I hope this helps you...I just realized you were talking about a Dodge so I’m not sure if it has a similar set up as the Econos but maybe one of the Dodge guys will fill you in...

Here’s a thread from one of the Dodge guys and it sounds like a similar set up as the Econo. He says the parts are available on eBay.
