So you have a gas leak or just want to replace a part that you know is bad. We are talking about the hose between the filler neck and the gas tank.
You do not want to use a radiator hose, even though it looks similar. Others have used various things and just a short section of hose at each end. I don’t recommend this, but sometimes you need to fix stuff!
Here is what you want, with part number. It’s a simple 90 degree bend.
It needs to be cut to size, since it’s not an exact replacement. The old one was original, with a factory clamp on the tank side. I’d say it was past due!
Those factory band clamps are tough to get off. The best advice I can give is to attack the part that sticks out, trying to cut or stretch it out so the clamp comes off. NO sparks!
Once it’s cut to size, it’s time to install. Remember to place the clamps on first and face them so they don’t rub on other stuff and can be accessed easily.
All done!
