Hey guys! I've got a small oil leak coming out of my engine. nothing major. I've read about different ways to detect where it is coming from, but waned to know if you all had any info, or better yet, a usual suspect where I could look to stop this leak? I've also got a tranny leak. FML

Clean the engine and then look for fresh oil leaks. It could be coming from almost anywhere.

Definately need more info. The valve cover is always suspect #1, rear main seal is another.

Ok. Thanks. Will post some pics once I clean it up to see the leak. Any recommendations for cleaning? Degreaser yeah? It's pretty caked on there...

Super Clean and a nylon brush. Nothing, and I mean nothing outside of tanking or sandbasting beats oven cleaner for baked in crud, but it may be bad for paint and wiring. Best used after the majority is scraped brushed off and cleaned with something environmentally safe like Super Clean or Purple Power. But all that oil is going somewhere if you don't throw down zis-queen or canvas and some oil diapers and/or sand.

I'd start with a large piece of cardboard under the van and see the general area it's coming from before I cleaned anything I didn't need to unless I wanted to clean it all up anyway
