I know about the thottle lever adj needed. Throttle change does actually impact the throttle lever at the trans, so I'd think I'm fine - as long as I do not push it hard.

Here's some pics from the Mopar Spring Fling 2018 - great weather, location, cars and people
https://pwg.gecius.de/index.php?/category/493
(yes that's me - the left one of the two guys)
The truck performed very well, except the speedo, again being stuck as before. Obviously, the brass piece at the speedo is being kind of clenched at the speedo side. I'll post some pics later to explain...
But I successfully replaced the directional switch element responsible for resetting the switch to off after the turn.

Re: New from Germany '69 A100 pickup
Great to see you managed to get there... teething troubles eh? Still got more than a few to sort on mine and I've had it on the road for nearly a year now, as and when. Nice collection of stuff at that meet - interesting to see a Bristol. Not a common sight over there (or even here). I had a 1974 Series 5 411 with the factory blueprinted 400c.i. Chrysler motor and three speed auto' - best car I have ever driven (and I've driven a few). Sold it to a boutique owner in Cologne (?) who had the sole concession for selling Doc Marten boots in Germany.
Off to Santa Pod this weekend in my pick up, Nostalgia Nationals - a vintage drag race meet. We should fit right in...

Long time no write - truck shows outstanding performance, even with approx 100°F ambient temperature.

Thanks vanny. My standard posting workflow has image size 800x600. Looking at todays monitor sizes - could the forum be adjusted to fit browsers available width? ;-)

Re: New from Germany '69 A100 pickup
OK, this is a crazy story.
Today I went to the local dump-site with the A100. While waiting in line to get onto the site, I saw some guy with a front bumper for the A100 - he wanted to just dump it.
I was able to retrieve it (actually, he got it back and put it on my bed). It turned out, that he owns an A108. And lives basically next door to me (approx. 2 miles, same village). And just until recently, he had it stored just 200yd crows line from my house....
We got talking and stopped at his to see both trucks next to each other. He told me having a hard time finding the battery cover, which is needed over here to get the truck registered. Happily, I had a spare one - which he couldn't believe and took home.
Go to the landfill and find some fellow A100-owners and exchange parts...
And remember, this is in Germany, not rural California.

Hamburg is approx. 1.5/2h ride from my home. The A100's are pretty popular, recently. Good to hear - that one looks extremely nice. You know some contact details of the new owner? Would be good to connect locally.

Mini-project - better headlamps.
As we need H4 over here, up to now I had flat headlamps. X-changed them to much nicer ones...

Re: New from Germany '69 A100 pickup
A100 season closed - for now.
Starting in April this year, I did 1981 miles with the A100. Longest trip was 160 miles one way with ambient temperature of almost 100°F. Coldest trip was close to 45°F with feet frozen (heater still not connected).
And we always arrived safely. No real problems, I'm absolutely happy.
Now its Charger time. Some things to do (e.g. alternator, steering linkage and stuff). I rode only 100 miles this year with the Charger....

I see the buyer is on this site now. I am not at liberty to give his contact information for privacy reasons. I am sure he will be in contact when time permits and you can discuss all things a-100. please understand my reluctance to provide his contact info.

Re: New from Germany '69 A100 pickup
Two weeks ago, I did a nice nice ride to a friend to pickup an old 70's Bosch Engine Tester. It was through a gorgeous hilly area and the truck performed great.
But after that ride, i noticed leaking oil - valve cover leaking. Yesterday I had to realize, that the screws were *really* loose. While the engine cover was off, spark plugs changed as well. One spark plug was also loose *shock*.
All fixed and did another nice ride around the area to Bierbergen (translates to
"beer hills" .
They have a public scale so I measured it right away.
