Yes, you could do a "Doctors in" sign and park at van events! Kinda like Lucy on the Peanuts cartoon. But, in a Dr. Phil kinda way!

Re: GMC Jacke's van
Actually I have not hooked it up yet! I just installed the camera and placed the monitor.vanny wrote:So, is the backup camera working well for you?
I need to tie into the power and the front switch. I do not do electrical unless broken down... LOL so maybe this weekend... I hope to get the dual battery set up installed, Rich is going to do it, I will just had tools and give thanks.
I have the Yellow Top Optima deep cycle battery... the Switch... just awaiting the powder coated drop down battery box and wires I ordered to come. Should have all the trappings by Thursday. So soon I will be able to listen to my music when parked without too much worry about starting the van to go home.
Updates this weekend!!

Re: GMC Jacke's van
Getting my van ready for the Lady's Night show... I was invited this year. That was a nice surprise!
Not that many Lady's with their own classic car rides... but I am the only woman owned classic van that shows up. Should be a nice evening going to be 84 during the daytime. Glad I have that air tunnel and hamburger fan!

Re: GMC Jacke's van
I was very lucky today. My friend VANagain, Rich... installed my dual battery set up! The pictures tell the story. I assisted and installed the switch, small stuff. Mean while Rich was drilling and wiring the set up. He worked and worked got it done!! Now I can listen to my muduc without a battery fail! THANKS RICH

Yes we are very different types... he is very methodical and precise... I am full speed ahead and let's go! So he keeps me grounded, and I get him moving. Good team, I wish I had more to offer in the form of knowledge. But, what I lack in know how, I make up for with enthusiasm~

Re: GMC Jacke's van
I went back over to have Rich do the panel wiring for the switch panel... it was way far beyond my capabilities. Now I have the pane which will monitor the volts on each battery and provide two phone chargers and a usb plug. Now I can install it into the panel. That I can do, four screws...LOL
AGAIN, THANK YOU RICH!

Re: GMC Jacke's van
I thought this would be the ultimate way to mount an auxiliary battery in our vans, so you don't have to cut a hole in the floor to get access to it. It's not like you're going to need to get at this battery very often anyway but when you do, you unhook the two latches and it drops down about 6 or 7 inches.

This is the it up in its stowed configuration:
And here it is dropped. The bolt holes are in a good spot to bolt through our frame.
You could put it behind the main battery, or on the other side.

Re: GMC Jacke's van
I got my New Chromed Horn Ring and GMC cap back today! I had to return it the first time around due to a few blemishes. So finally got it back and I am satisfied... and very happy !
