Scarebird brakes

That is the stuff. We use it at the mill quite a bit. Holds extremely well.

got disc brakes on, had a hard time getting the brake hoses set so they dont rub anything, also had to grind a little from the edge of the caliper so it wont rub the inside of my 14'' wheels,

dodge man you should paint those calipers to show your hard work

if i ever get my daisy wheels i'll paint them then, my chrome wheels you cant see anything under there,

what kind of disc set up do you have dix? they look different from scarebird,

home made. but no instructions to go by.

from what i can see yours are beefier than scarebirds brackets,

3/8 inch plate steel or alluminum I chose to use alluminun. The scarebirds have been around for at least 5 years so i'm sure tour system will serve you very well

i think they will work ok, cant wait till spring to take it out for a ride, seams like its been a long winter,

no you are just getting a lot done. but I agree i'm ready, been doing a lot of little things on my van and tomarrow will be near 50 so i'll get the old girl out of the garage and have some room to clean up a bit.

its going to be nice the next two days, i still have to change the master cylinder, then bleed them, the gas tank will be dry by the end of the month then i can fill it up, luckly theres a gas station 1 block away, i saved about a gal. the rest went on me, lol

make sure you oil up all the brake line fittings or buy the new lines if you have a local guy that can flair one side , thats what i did,the new lines are very easy to bend and a cheap tubing bender nocks them right out. but there seams to be 1 fitting that is differnt and thats why you need the flairing tool.

yeah i replaced all the brake lines, i'm hopeing the new master cylinder has the same fitting sizes, so i dont have to flair more new lines

I do beleive they are all the same . you used the71.72. 73 dodge b 100/200 m.c. correct. ??? also bench bleed the m.c. instructions should be with the m.c.

yeah i filled it and its been sitting with fluid in it for a week, so bench bleeding should be easy, i bought the 72 dodge b100 mc its a lot bigger than the original cylinder,

you do have some cutting to do to get her up there. i did not use the small rubber spacer/gromet,i need to make a larger hole on top of mine for easier pilling purposes. but once it's up and on line it's not something you would fill again.you should be able to click these photo's to enlarge . http://www.flickr.com/photos/scottie8door/sets/72157619785381907/

I was able to use a sawzall to do all the cutting on mine. just study the photo's and take your time,

That's by far the worst part on the swap. It looks great, the rotors look like the ones i used. I drive mine hard and i've had no issues.

Those pixs are great. Now i am thinking about up grading too. my drums work, but i like the idea of stopping in a emergency. I always think about my brakes coming down the big hills near the beach.

thats one of the reasons i made the swich, i live with mountains all around, drum brakes can fade real easy, i want to be able to stop and not have to run it into a ditch,,

That's the reason I did mine as well. I hope to take it to Myrtle Beach this summer, via Southeastern Kentucky. Those mountains can get challenging.
Dodgeman, mine didn't hit the sway bar links, do you have new links? Interested in some pics.

i dont think it will hurt anything just when its turned sharp the top caliper bolt cover hits the link, i'll be out in the garage in the morning i'll take some pictures,,
yeah i live in the ohio valley with mountains and the ohio river on both sides, its hard to go any were and not have steep hills to go up and down,
