OK maybe I'm missing something. Wouldn't be the first time.
Is there a way to lock & unlock the side & rear doors from inside the van?
Mine currently aren't locking at all. The key turns but the C shaped metal piece doesn't move.
Guess I'll be disassembling those mechanisms. WD40 to the rescue! cheers

Has anyone retro fitted a way to lock the doors from the inside?

Thanks Guys - Luv this place - Ric Cool

Got the lock mechanisms freed up. Now move up & down. The little finger on the rear door lock doesn't reach far enough to unlock the door. I tried bending it, may have screwed the pooch. Still working on it.,Got to get them fixed as I'm ready to panel the doors.
Oh yeah. Figured a way to lock from the inside. Didn't take to much. I'll post pictures later.

    Thanks again Ric

Thought some of you might want to try this.
1 - Drill a small pilot hole thru the inside door skin & thru the latch.
    2 - Enlarge this hole for a 1/4x20 screw
3 - Tap the hole in the latch for the screw
4 - Elongate the hole in the door skin down about 3/4"
5 - Run the screw into the latch, nut it on the backside of the threaded hole
6 - You can now lock & unlock your side door from the inside of the van by moving the screw up or down

    Happy modifying - Ric Cool

We normally refer to those as Jesus clips....Cus that's usually the first word out of my mouth when it flys off inside the door or in the air landing in the grass...lol. As for the real name, I'm sure someone will know. probably a C-clip.
