Did you have trouble with the last snap on the run where it clips into the top of the door behind the vent window??

Well its been a productive weekend. The truck I have all the sound material installed. I have run the engine for the first time since the paint work to the top and interior, rebuilt both drivers and passenger doors..... I am really looking forward to my first trip to the beach with it

Great looking truck. Quick question, where did you get your vent window rubbers? I'll be needing a set for my 63 eventually.

Re: Build Thread for Ddavllc 66 E-Truck
Kinda of off subject but i really like the way your truck sits. I have a 63 econoline van and im going to get wheels and tires. Exactly what rim size and offset are they and what tires sizes? and issues with rubbing and has the suspension been altered in any way or fenders rolled? Thanks
great looking truck

Damn, that interior is looking cherry! Very nice work, did you make the headliner and side panels yourself?

Re: Build Thread for Ddavllc 66 E-Truck
Yes I did make the headliner with the help of Fred Carello. Fred cut out the core foam for me as I wanted to emulate one of his creations. Eric from the site got me a template for the headliner and I just had to cut and paste it myself. The rear surround was made by myself (but i took the general idea from Fred again.... with his blessing) I make movie theater for a living so with a little direction this is what I came up with. My wheels are a set of 40 year old American Racing daisy 200. rears are 15x10 and the fronts are 14x8. tire sizes are rear 235/60R15 fronts 215/60R14. the stance is completely stock. I have replace the front and rear springs. I had them made thru Eaton Springs they were great to work with the knew exactly what I was working with. I have had no wheel rubs there are no modifications to the body... I'd like to make a few but for this summer I want to just enjoy it...

Re: Build Thread for Ddavllc 66 E-Truck
do those 8's in the front make it hard to turn? I'm going with 7's up front and was a little concerned.

Re: Build Thread for Ddavllc 66 E-Truck
I don't really know the difference so it's hard to say if the 8's are better or worse than 7's
The rears have a zero offset the fronts I not sure. I'll ask the gentleman I bought them from.
