Build Thread for Ddavllc 66 E-Truck
I bought this from another member of VV and i just love it. Once you get a new toy I think everyone need to make it their own and i am doing just that. It has a small block 302 and a bunch of other upgrades as you'll see from uploaded pic's.

I have been out in the garage putting new shock and leaf spring on as I am replacing the astro supremes spinner 15in wheels to a 40 year old set od American racing daisy s200 wheels that have been re-cnc-and powder coated
15x8.5 in back and 14x7 in front.. There where no issues with the 14 in front as I do have front disc brakes (d&d/wilwood).

Good to hear that your wheel choice will work!
A/R 200s were the first set of new wheels I bought new. Love the design!
Are you going to clear in the back with the 8.5s? I'm sure the E guys will want to know the offset and tire sizes.

I am trying to rebuild my wing windows. Does anyone know how to get the window from the frame???
I can only think drilling the rivets from the frame?
I removed the nut from the bottom and I can even separate the pivot point but the cant remove bottom??

Did you take out the three screws holding the frame in the door? Two on the leading edge of the door and one inside the rubber vent seal by the vent window lock.

Yes. I actually have them both on the work bench. I can't figure out how to remove them from the frame so I can replace the rubber seal.

Re: Build Thread for Ddavllc 66 E-Truck
I am sorry I forgot people are really following (man that's Cool ) ok i am posting pic's as well. the bottom nut must be removed with a /2 inch wrench there is no washer remove the spring. the next washer is keyed so make sure and note the position next is a waffer washer
at this point I put penetrating oil on the shaft to clean spline so the next keyed washer would come off the rusty spline please make note of the position of the wasker to the spline first. if you dont the pic's will show you

Those washers will come off that splined shaft. They are tight and it takes some persusion to work them down. Put an open end wrench between the pointed washer and the frame, a nut on the threads to prevent damage to the threads and tap it apart with a plastic or brass hammer. A little lube wouldn't hurt.
Sorry, didn't know you were this far along in the disassembly. I was trying to figure out which rivits you were talking about.
Can't go wrong with a Fred interior. Nobody does it better. That will be the crowning touch on your beautiful truck.

I got it on Ebay. it doesn't cut down on noise too much but it does cut down on heat. it also helps with ratting and make the truck feel more solid. I am planning on doing the entire inside of the truck with it this weekend. Ill post more pic's Monday.
