New aluminum radiator Empty New aluminum radiator

Post by Guest Thu Dec 31, 2009 7:15 pm

I just bought this aluminum radiator for my 65 Econoline. It is a four core. I think I will add a Zirgo 3000cfm electric fan to it. I already bought a chrome shroud so I thing the fan will be chrome too. Normally I don't use chrome in the doghouse but I don't think I have to worry about heat dissipation with these parts. This radiator is built for a V8 but I am keeping my 200ci, just want all the cooling power I can get here in sunny California where temps can get over 115. I will get some stainless steel radiator hoses too.

This is the Zirgo fan I am thinking of using.

It will drop in. The dimensions are almost the same as the stock radiator. The only difference is it is about 1/2" taller. The guy I got it from also has a three core just like it that he has sold to a few people in Arizona where it is hot and he said it worked well. I just wanted a four core. They are guaranteed to cool any motor or your money back, including shipping. They come from Costa Mesa, Calif. $249.00 for the four core and $199.00 for the three core plus $29.00 shipping.

The radiator comes with a radiator cap and is set up for an automatic if needed. I paid $650.00 for the Griffin Radiator I had in Vanishing Breed so this one is quite a bit cheaper and looks just as nice..

FedEx delivered the radiator today. It looks very good and appears to be well made. Hopefully being a four core it will keep the new motor cool. If not I will add a new Zirgo 3000cfm electric fan.
