Well, I'm nearing mechanical completion on my 69 108 and I'm revisiting the design of some of my improvements.....
I want to re-engineer my axle flip to be not quite as low at the leaf springs which will require the tie-rod ends to be on top of the steering arms instead of underneath....
I want to buy a pair of second-gen steering arms to have the tapers welded and re-drilled and if the change is a success, I may offer the conversion to others on an exchange basis....
The dilemma is that in order to get enough caster, the axle is higher above the leafs than it really should safely be.....Otherwise the tie rod is too close over the top of the springs... If I can move the tie-rod above the steering arms, it gives me the clearance I need to set the axle closer above the springs...
Anybody out there that can sell me a pair of these arms?
