4th and 5th pic show the passenger side air box. That mounts over the fresh air intake next to the passenger side headlamp housing. Once you get that attached there, the other mounts and where they hook up to will make a little more sense.

Was the square tubing added by the previous owner when he did his modifications? Sure don't remember seeing that on any I've taken apart.
The more I look at the pics, it looks like he kinda messed up the front sheet metal where the air box mounts. And, you'll need another air box for the driver side.
You're other option is to go to a Vintage Air heater defroster. You'll have to make a bracket or plate to mount it to. Mine is welded to the floor, though I've seen some that a plate is mounted from air opening to air opening.

the last owner fitted 65 Chrysler headlights for which he cut out a big hole where the stock lights would have mounted and because they sit further back into the cab area he put a bar across the back to mount them, i can remove most of this though

Wow. And the bad part of it is, you're in the UK, so parts may be difficult to find.

Cool, I'm up in Hertfordshire.
It doesn't mount to the dash at all it hangs off the front panel.
Basically if you had the original headlights you'd remove the chrome headlight surround and you will see a bracket above and below the headlight with 2 screws in each, also a screw either side of the heater inlet, these 6 screws hold the later heater box in.
This picture shows the screws https://drive.google.com/open?id=1YnX4-mV3a_TBRmfPpqffbgVMMxDDQVQr
Does that help?

Yes it does help but my headlamp surround has been cut further so there is no mounting on that side(I guessed it was where you said i was )looks like i will have to make some sort of mounting bracket up for it
Thanks

Ah that's annoying, what lights have you got fitted now?
Shouldn't be too hard to fabricate mounts in the original position if you've got back to stock lights.

It's got 65 Chrysler lights which look really good but they are a big unit and sit a lot further back than a stock light so there is no going back now

Gotcha! Car builder solutions have some aftermarket heaters that would probably work well if you get stuck.
Would like to see a picture of that!

Here is a picture of a 1965-1967 heater installed. The defroster hose near the accelerator pedal is not connected properly.
