Re: stock horn location
Wow! mine are on the outside of the frame, under the pasangers feet closer to the door step well just ahead of the leaf spring perch.
Dons is likely righter then my van according to the parts book.
Mine dosn't bother air flow to the rad.

Re: stock horn location
The grille is wider than the radiator, so even if you can see part of the horn through the grille, it won't matter,,,,,,

Re: stock horn location
I just looked at a 68 and the horns are same place as Dons inside of the frame.
I recall now, mine must have been moved because I used to have the dealer installed brake booster mounted there.

Re: stock horn location
So is your horn outside the frame up near the heater core tubes or lower by the spring bolt?

Re: stock horn location
That area is my least favorite place on the van,,,,,,,working on those heater hose clamps is a pain,,,,,,Now how about that Vacuum Booster that was on yours? Now that surely restricted some air to the radiator,,,,,,,,

Re: stock horn location
So what is your take on the airflow,,,,,,,,,if you look in the grille, all you see is the floor,,,,,,,the radiator is behind the floor,,,,,,,seems to me the air hits the floor and is directed down and if you don't have the bellypan louvers flowing air up to the radiator, the air flows down to the axle and is drawn under the vehicle......

Re: stock horn location
I am talking about the stock 1st Gen set up,,,,,,2nd Gens have the tunnel,,,,,,,new vehicles have the fan,,,,,,,seems like the bellypan is the only thing forcing air up towards the radiator core and the temp gauge will start climbing if you are stuck in traffic, stopped in Drive with your foot on the brake, engine idling,,,,so if you ain't movin',,,,,,you ain't coolin,
