I dunno, Vanny. I own an Econoline and I've been called a lot of things but "advanced lifeform" isn't one of them!

Take it as a compliment JR! I think we have a very similar sense of humor...I always get a kick out of your responses in some of these threads! I've heard laughing is healthy for you so I try to inject a little humor when I can.

If advertising keeps it on the road, all the more power to them!!! Not everyone gets to drive a work truck like that one!

That phone van is pretty goofy! lol
And that looks like it might have been an 8 Door Super Van, Funny how it says "Ride at you Own Risk"...I doubt that warning would hold up in court today.

Funny to see the side step in something other than a window van...I suppose it was probably an option for all of them if one was so inclined. Cool pic!

Mine has the retractable step and it was ordered as a Fire Department Auxiliary Unit...it's nice, but with the mechanism hooked up, the fwd side door only opens so far. I have it disconnected right now because it's a pain working in there and might look into making it handle driven instead of door driven.

I have a 1961 cargo van with a side step. Three-quarter ton GVW, dealer-installed ballast, but otherwise regular cargo van. I assumed Ford put a few out there to get attention.
