    Thanks
Do you know what the suburban means?
And is there a way to find out the original options and color?

Everything I've seen says suburban. My van is a 4x4 and its a late model 69 so I'm wondering if the suburban means factory 4 wheel drive.

If your van is not paneled, you can try looking at the passenger side inside rear quarter panel and if you are lucky the "birth certificate" (SPID) might still be attached. I do not believe any of our vans came from the factory 4x4, Donivan would be able to answer that though. Question Question

I doubt that the factory did the conversion,,,,,,is it an automatic transmission,,,,,did someone just drop the body on a 4WD frame and drivetrain,,,,,,,does the transmission hang from the floor or sit on a crossmember,,,,,does it look professionally done or just a hack job

2nd gen Chevy vans did not have factory 4wd. Somebody did a very good conversion. Factory 4wd didn't come until the 3rd gen Chevy Van was produced.

1970 was the first year 4 wheel drive was offered.
This might be a special order van .
I was told that the spot lights were also a stock item for my van.
