At 10,000 miles per year, it could be 522,000.

Re: Greetings Vintage Van Folks....
9.3K seems a little high especially without a finished interior...offer 6-6500 and haggle with them. most sellers overprice vintage cars on eBay or CL by at least $1500-2000 over what they'd really be happy with, I know I do and then when it doesn't sell in this great economy in a few weeks or months they take a lower offer! plus are you going to drive it back? Shipping ain't cheap either, could add another $750-1500 to the price tag...I've seen nice custom painted Fords with a $1000 set of Cragars on them several times on CL and eBay in the $6-7000 range in the past year alone, keep looking....

The mileage does not even MATTER, before "no biggie" got the van the po dropped a 302 in it along w an aod with all the receipts. Also "no biggie" went thru the entire suspension (transport problem) and had a disc brake conversion kit (a ton of work had been done to the van prior to Craig buying it and then he went the extra mile and did even more work) waiting for the newest owner. Guaranfreekinty if the money tree was bearing fruit that Ford would be in my hands (did I just say that?). JM2C

Saw the 8 door and thought Wow! That's what I want/need!

Re: Greetings Vintage Van Folks....
I was wondering if anyone knew of a van around Abilene I could inspect. I haven't ever really checked them out closely as far as how they are made and metal thickness etc. It'd be a good weekend thing as I search for one to buy.

Re: Greetings Vintage Van Folks....
Joe,
You have the most important person on your side...Your Wife!
I've always been interested in vans. The only one I ever had was a 1967 Morris Mini-Van in England when I was in the Air Force stationed there in the early 1980's. It was awesome and I've always wanted a full size first gen van.
Meanwhile I have another Ford to keep me busy while I hunt for the right one...a '73 Gran Torino

Re: Greetings Vintage Van Folks....
How much do you think the rear of this van would cost to have repaired? Both doors are pretty dented, would it require re-skinning the doors?
