Re: NoBiggies 67' Econo
It's a work in progress right now, the entire front end is out and it's up on jacks. I am sending the bent axle to Sid at droppedaxles.com. He is going to straighten it back to factory specs, remove and replace the kingpins for me.
I have new front and rear leaf springs being delivered this week.
In the process of putting in / replacing all these parts with new ones:
Kingpins & Bushings
Both Tie Rod Ends
Tie Rod Sleeve
Front and Rear Leaf Springs (5 leaf in front, 5 leaf in rear with a 1" raised arc)
Leaf spring shackles, bushings, bolts, ubolts
Steering Drag Link
Front & Rear Shocks
Front sway bar links & bushings
Should have all the parts here 100% by the end of the week, hope to get the axle back by the end of next week.
No plans on the interior yet. Once I get these parts in, I will do wheels and tires and then start to think about the inside. It has mat, foam and shag carpet installed on the floor for now, that helps with noise.
Really haven't even driven it yet over a mile from the transport truck to home on the bent axle and busted springs, so it's going to be awesome when it's all back together and I can drive it!

Re: NoBiggies 67' Econo
Been awhile....here's the latest progress. Got all the leaf springs done, shocks, axle, everything underneath. Added a paint job and graphics last weekend (a garage project), new wheels and tires today. 15 x 8's rear, 15 x 7 front. Next up, chrome side pipes.
List of need to do's:
Needs new radiator. Looks like the original and has an electric fan on the front of it, but man it runs hot. Gonna upgrade to a 4 core with a 3000 cfm minimum fan.
Transmission won't stay in park. It's an automatic. I have ordered the shift cable and column upgrade from Vic. Hopefully I will be able to adjust it better with the cable. Right now, it's loose. Slides in and out of gear too easy. The shift linkage off the steering wheel hits the front grill and even pokes through a bit.

Re: NoBiggies 67' Econo
No Biggie, Man that looks awesome! Looks great with all your personal touches. I'm loving the stripe accents on top and all along the bottom! That's gotta be a great feeling to finally see some major progress and making it Yours! From what I've read on these threads, Vic's the guy to help make things right. Congrats!!!!!!!

Re: NoBiggies 67' Econo
I sold it for $9500...had a ton more in it. Then found out after I moved I would have had a garage for it. SH%#T!!
I sold it to a classic car dealer in Texas, they sold it for 11 or 12,500 to LowBrow Customs in Ohio. They immediately stripped the paint off and are in the process of repainting it I guess. It has been 6 months since I have seen it.
Now I'm looking for a nice Econo pickup. Custom, automatic, etc. Don't have time for a big project. There are a few for sale around, just nothing that catches my eye yet.
