Re: Greetings Vintage Van Folks....
Always hard to tell from a picture but a quick minimum estimate would be a 4 to 6 hours of work using a stud gun/puller, hammer/dolly and fill, provided that there is no hidden rust. Again, from the picture alone I personally would not consider re-skinning the doors. My two cents. Scott...

Re: Greetings Vintage Van Folks....
Thanks Scott. There's no rust on the van so that wouldn't be a problem.

Re: Greetings Vintage Van Folks....
If thats the worst of it thats really not too bad...You can usually find good doors for about $100 each..they are out there but you have to hunt and be patient, or you could massage those dents out, Id say an independent body man could fix that up for $300 or so?

Re: Greetings Vintage Van Folks....
After a lot of back and forth discussion about with the owner of the White Van in Oregon, I offered $7500 considering the cosmetic work needed done. He didn't want to come down any, so that's that. Next.

Re: Greetings Vintage Van Folks....
uante where did you find the pic? They probably posted it so people would know what they were talking about. A lot of people don't remember these vans or have never seen one.

Re: Greetings Vintage Van Folks....
I know the Paint job is Way Out There.!!!. But for a example you can find one complete for 9k (Not saying spend that much) like this van painted and full interior ready to roll there out there I will keep a eye out for you ....you want a panel right....Click on original listing http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-E-Series-Van-1964-ford-econoline-falcon-custom-surf-van-/181301855893?forcerrptr=true&hash=item2a366ec695&item=181301855893&pt=US_Cars_Trucks

Re: Greetings Vintage Van Folks....
Yeah that is a wild paint job alright! lol
The kind of van I'm looking for is a panel van...with or without windows in the side doors. Preferably without side windows. Rather not have a themed van, there was a fairly decent one in Nevada, but it was all done Surfer style.
The one I get will be used for a business as well as pleasure. I'll be putting a logo on the side and using it to haul cargo, so the inside back can be bare, but I'd like a nice clean original cab area.

Re: Greetings Vintage Van Folks....
Has anyone checked out this van or know if member on here owns it? It looks pretty solid and has a 300 6 cyl in it which I hear are nice engines...
I got a few more pics which show a little rust and maybe a couple dents here and there.

Re: Greetings Vintage Van Folks....
Yeah the black one scared me a little...
Thanks guys. I'm excited about the van. Needs a little work on some dents and get some correct mirrors etc, but pretty small stuff. Is it hard to install a glove box door on one of these that didn't come with a door? I heard it was an option.
Anyway, here's some more pics.

WOW Great looking van I am sure it was worth the wait. .....The opening is there so a glove box door, latch, and hinge, should solve that problem......along with a glove box liner.

Nice van! Wish I had that rod hook up for my step. I have to pull mine out by hand.
