Cool donivan, so the piezo buzzer is getting ground by back feeding through the ign switch? Very clever. Now I wanna try that.

It is easier  than all that relay stuff,,,,,,and our vans have the 2 circuits right there on the fuse box so just plug the buzzer into it,,,,,,,,there is another post about making the parking lights come on with the headlights in case you want,,,,,or have not done that modification yet......

Looks like someone else did the parking light mod. Scotty mentioned that the other day. I didn't realize they weren't all that way.

I always thought it would look better at night with the front parking lights on...Smile .Thanks JOE.................

VANagain, here's what I'm doing with the locks. My guy at Dave's lock smith in Chula Vista is going to rekey the new tumbler I put in the ignition to match the van. I pulled a cargo door lock to see if the numbers match the ignition lock I drilled out, and it does. So all works out I should be matching keys again. I bought GM key blanks for dave to cut my key code onto.

Man, no kidding about progress on your van - I go out of town for a week and it's nearly finished!  A couple of things, wasn't sure if anyone responded to this:

Now that mine pretty much drives, when are we going to get all re San Diego vans in the same place ( at the same time)?

Wednesday August 14 El Cajon cruise night - Donivan has details, it's his annual gathering of earlies....

    And this:

I'm running out of mechanical things to fix!

I can drop my van off for a few days, have at it!!

Rookie mistake today. I hit the starter and it didn't start so I let up on the key and hit it again and broke the starter bendix.

That will teach me to not to put the bracket on the back of the starter...

$50 later and an hour of my life and she starts again.

Lol, no hammer involved. In the old days we had big block Chevys that did this cause the timing was to advanced. Sometimes they would kick right off.
