I've been a fan of the early vans for a very long time but the pie plate Dodge vans and trucks have always had a special place in my heart. Well a few weeks ago I saw an ad for one on Facebook and the guy wanted to trade for a Harley Davison. Turns out that I had a Harley Davison Softail that I didn't have much money into and that I was looking to sell... so bada bang bada boom here's my new baby.
1968 Dodge A100 (108) with a factory 3 speed auto and 318. The van is in pretty solid shape, some cancer in the floors out back and needs tie rods and the like, but it's a runner. All new brake system from front to back, new exhaust and a fuel cell because the tank was trashed. Threw some 14x7 reverse lip Supremes on that I had laying around and now it's time to start looking for a few missing olds and ends like the little brake hatch cover in the cab and battery box cover, get the bumpers straightened out and re-chromed, and some dog box insulation and sound proofing throughout.
I am very happy to finally have a van.
