Everytime I put gas in the van and try to squeeze all the way down, the pump clicks off. It was low when I filled up as I put in over 13 gallons. Today was the worst. In the past, it would eventually stop.

Today it clicked off from the start. I tried putting the nozzle in deeper, pulling it out, but nothing worked. It clicked off at full squeeze the entire time and took several minutes to fill up as I could only hold it halfway open. There has to be an explanation and I can't be the only one.

all the new nozzels will cut off when getting fuel splashed back into them- remember tank must vent the same volume of air that the fuel is now replacing. Vent lines are much smaller and usually fill lines are bent going into the tanks. there fore we must fill slowley or find a slower fill nozzel @ some old gas station.

I think you have a custom fuel door. Sometimes that involves changing things a bit on hose route or the metal part of the fill pipe to get the angles right. it all creates restriction added to the fact it is a somewhat smaller fill than new rigs also. I run into it once in awhile myself, ya just don't set the nozzle all the way open. Its only a 16 gallon tank the extra minute or 2 is no big deal. And like Twin pilot says not all pumps are created equal.

I hear you. Not a big deal at all. Today it was just really touchy and I wanted to know why. It maybe would give a half squeeze. I thought my van came stock with an exposed gas cap, so I I am sure you are correct.
