Curious on Shipping -van's??
Hello All= Im getting curious as to the shipping of vans across the states that you have done. Could those that have shipped vans lately - give us a shipper name , mileage it came from to you and the costs you incurred? This might give all us some guidelines for purchaseing a van & getting it to where we live. Also- were there any add'l charges for ;oading and such if the van didnt run-to be loaded on trailer / carrier?? Thanx to all.

Re: Curious on Shipping -van's??
Coast to coast is approx $1400. Half is still about $800 to $1200.
They charge $100 if the van does not run.
You pay less if they have a driver in your area with other cars going the same direction. Also if you are not in a hurry the will bid out the transport and you will get a better price then if you need it picked up right away.
If you go with a broker they normally quote you the cheapest price, then raise it if they cannot get it picked out.
I have a company that I deal with that are pretty good. My last transport came in 3 days early at the quoted price.
If someone need's their info pm me.

I'm having mine shipped to me right now. I will let you know how the experience goes. Don is correct in everything. I checked with several shippers. I went with the cheapest, 1300 miles for $560.00

Re: Curious on Shipping -van's??
I had a van shipped from Texas to Michigan. I bought the van on ebay after I had contacted a guy that was hauling a tractor to Texas and wanted something to haul back. I contacted him through the hauling schedule on Yesterdays Tractors

I just got lucky I guess. They picked up the van Sat. morning and I was driving it around my yard Sunday afternoon, overnight delivery for $600.

Re: Curious on Shipping -van's??
I was real nervous about buying a van with out looking at it, (just pictures on ebay) but it was a no rust Texas van and very cheap since all the glass was busted. About the bicycles, yes I have an lot of them I don't count them, I ride bicycles everyday year round. I had a pile of junk ones that I got from the city I gave away most of them and made some custom ones that I ride some times.

I collect antique tractors, that is how I found about the hauling schedule on yesterdays tractors.

Re: Curious on Shipping -van's??
GOT IT!!!! AWWW man it took along time! The van is sweet! I will post pictures as soon as it stop raining here. The name of the shipping place is Auto Cars Transportation. DO NOT use them. They actually are just a broker, so they take about $200.00 right off the top, and then they give you the run around until they can find a independent driver for pick/delivery. Very Rude and unprofessional. But anyway I got here sitting in my side yard. It's going to need a little work but not much!
Thanks everyone!
