Why is my distributor only firing 4/6 cylinders on my 240? I have tried EVERYTHING except a new rotor which I am SOL because the stores are all closed. Any help would be appreciated ASAP. Also te cyliners will jumps its not the same two everytime.

Well if it's not the same ones everytime then you've got distributor issues. Is it a stock distributor? Points, Condenser, Cap & Roter.... or Coil... Time to do some testing. This may sound stupid but check to make sure the firing order is correct. This has caused a lot of heartache when I have "assumed" I had them on correct... Yeah, it happens. If you have put in an HEI or removed/replace the stock one the you may be off a tooth or two when reinstalling. All worth checking....

My 1st question is, did it run good before or just start acting up? The points setting is the 1st thing to check,,,,,, and did you have that distributor out?
