Another thing to check is the fit of the shoes to the drum,,,,,,,there needs to be some clearance, like about .010, between the heel and toe of the shoe as it lays in the drum,,,,,,,,and you would of had to get the shoes rearced to get them to match the drum. You might even take a magic marker, run a line down the shoe, make a couple of stops and see if the drum rubs that line off,,,,,and see if those shoes are making full contact.

Re: Rear drum brakes chirping?
,,,,,,to clear it up,,,,,,,,there are recommended limits to the size of the cuts to take out of a drum,,,,,,,but, bottom line is,,, there is a THROW AWAY limit stamped on the drum,,,,,,like here,,,,,,when the drum gets .090 bigger than it was when it was new. And even then,,,,,,,,if you got a genuine Ford drum, do you really think a Taiwan or Chinese one is going to be better and hold up?????
But hey, we have given you plenty of things to think about to get you started on fixing your problem.
