Thanks for the links guys !!! But the 65 is also the only one of the heard that has a V8. I'm going to check the local yards and try to pickup a stock GM one.

What kind of ignition module, rotor button, and cap do the aftermarket ones use? That's why I'm going to go with a stock one.

Did a little research and decided that Digz had a good point. I'm going to go with this setup.

With this I shouldn't have any doghouse clearance problems.

    Hey Donivan,

What external coil did you use in the Camaro?

It came from the same place,,,,WhitePerformance1,,,,,its a high output remote coil,,,,,another thing different about those distributers is the spark plug wire holes in the cap ,,it could have male or female terminals,,,you need the right type wires to plug into the cap,,,,,,I had to choose and install the correct terminals on the ends of the wire set ,,,,,,

Wideload, That red one ain't exactly the best thing out there,,,,I think it's transistorized,,,,,where do you get parts WHEN it dies,,,,,,if you don't have room,,,,,you could use the 1st edition HEI with the separate coil and have common available GM parts,,,,,,and you always need a back up for the road,,,and I think thats what I keep tripping over in my garage,,,,,the original 350 points distributer from the 68 which has been converted over to Petronix. I will give it to you next time I see you or mail it to you when you are stuck along side the road,,,,,,,,
