Got the Cool it in the doghouse, can't believe how much more solid it seems with it in there. Will be using something on the walls and ceiling like VH did for sure now.

I have used this before also on the 69, I'll warn you it not cheap. It's heavy duty and heavy. Bet it added 15-20lbs to the doghouse and took away any tinny sound it had

That are not stock gaskets, they are thicker but work. I got them from a local Marine boat part store

Do you have gauges done yet? I'd like to see a picture of it, or what your plans are.

Have to re do the dash before they go in, still quite a bit of bodywork to do. Can't seem to find a body guy who can stick with it.

If you dont mind me asking, how are you going to mount your gauges?

Thought something all bright polished like this would be cool. The dimensions are not correct, I was just playing around, but we could get the dimensions from your gauges and then get a better fit in the dash.

    Was just an idea...

Could get some nice Stainless button heads to mount it in 6-8 places around the edges.

I have some nice .100" thick Aluminum sheets I picked up, or that same .063 I am making the crosses out of. Either way, would be pretty slick.

Well this year trying to not be all over the place on the 64. Before anything else gets done it will be running. Right now working on that, like this whole project nothing has been easy. Putting in the Lokar shifter, but had to order a longer cable. Lokar gas pedal also needed a cable. Fuel pump what could be easier than that. Have to cut the top bracket on the air bags so there clearence and had to order a 90 fitting to make room so it won't be to close to the air bag itself. Been to the parts store also daily getting little stuff, and have made 3 orders to Summit. All this being said it has been a good week for the 64. I have got more done this week than I have the last 6 months. I will post pic's once most of this is done

Sometimes I think we end up spending more in gas than on the parts with all the trial and error and getting those needed little things ,,LOL So any gain is good !! Looking to forward to hearing that engine Bark !

Cable nightmares Mad Shifter cable at the trans makes the shifter hard to shift. The gas pedal cable you have to push way to hard for a gas pedal. May have to for for some stock 2nd gen linkage and scrap the whole idea for the gas pedal. This week isn't starting out so good. Going to call Lokar Tuesday to see if I can save them

What kind of cable? Thought of using a thick push/pull type? I got 5 of them I believe. Bought them for my gokart builds and they were left over.

They are thick, billski has the same set-up and his works. Going to try to check out his shifter next weekend. The pedal is a lokar pedal with a 10 foot cable. May put this back to stock

Well still plugging away at it. Nothing has been easy, gas pedal linkage is done and got the throttle clips to replace the worn out ones. Trans cooler is in, but came with 1/2 barbs??? Had to order some 3/8 ones that just came in today. Still have to get the shifter cable working better. I'll get some pic's once a little more is done
