Re: Welcome Newbies to VintAGE-Vans.com!
From Germany a warm thank you for me being able to be here.
Although its not a van, I was able to acquire a '69 A100 pickup on our last day of our vacation in California in June. My lady asked me before that vacation to promise not to buy a car - my answer was "well, I cannot promise, but I will try hard". Didn't work out, though .
I also own a '69 Charger (since 2011), but that car is just running without any problems that I felt it's time for a new project.
The truck shows a lot of patina on the outside as well as inside the cab (do you call it patina if it shows 45 years of real life wear?). Sheet metal is in pretty good condition considering age and most likely being (mis-)used as a work truck. Engine runs strong, electrical is working fine (after some corrections and enhancements...), floor pan is (of course) pretty much non-existant but frame rails are fine, axles are straight. Some work to be done (-> hanger for rear shackles of front spring driver side, power steering leaking, rear bumper to frame and both windshield windows). All that should be do-able.
Hope to get some input here as well as to give some input as I have done almost all work on the Charger so far successfully by myself.
Here are some pics and vids of the truck.
Happy to connect to other German A-Drivers. A friend owns a A100 van, there's another one in my hometown I don't know and we know of approx. 7 A100 in Germany. Parts are going to be expensive...

Welcome to VV Melissa, I will PM you my email address for now if you'd like to email me the photos, I could post them for you until you figure out how to do it. It can be a little tricky at first. Once you've done it once, it's easier after that...

Re: Welcome Newbies to VintAGE-Vans.com!
Hello everyone! Dave from the central valley of California here. I picked up a '67 a100 sportsman a couple of weeks ago, and have been lurking here every day since then. This is a great site and I can see that it is full of like-minded people who are more than willing to help out and share info. My van is a slant six auto, and after some wrenching, sweating and swearing is road legal (mostly) and driveable. It is a blast to drive. Thanks in advance for all the answers and tips I'm sure I'll pick up here!

Yes, it is the same, we have to put a tow bar on the front now, and another tire, and tow it home. It's driving me crazy.
