Excellent site. Well managed and obviously cared for by many.

I figured out the photo thing! No problem...Smile My profile is just a photoshop idea for my 66 87B Standard.

I know I'm not a Van...but I've put in a ton of miles riding shotgun with my Dad in Econolines when I was a kid. Made a custom cup holder tray for it in high school woodshop:) You Vanners seem pretty tolerant:)  This is really all I have in my possession so far.

Thanks in advance, I've already put a ton of questions to bed just reading. I'll try to keep you posted.

Thanks, I lucked out but I went to every craig's list in every major city in every state until I got to Utah:) There was probably an easier way I'm sure.

Here is a nice truck. It will go well with your tailgate. You can probably sell one of them and recoup a good bit of your investment.

CONTENT WARNING!! you will see no sexy welding techniques or major mechanical skills here.

My truck is not here and it is -10 outside. I should have been finishing my bathroom project but my radio came in and I decided to spruce that up instead. The chrome is in pretty good shape, a few pits and scratches.

I used lacquer thinner and really hard pointy Q-tips I got at Hub Hobby to clean the grooves. The paint is just a careful build up of thinned lacquer. I'm pretty happy with how they turned out. I polished the window with Novus 3&2 and it looks clear as a bell.

This stuff is so well made, you could defend yourself with this faceplate! I love how the econoline looks like it's trying to lean into the 60's but it's still draggin' some 50's behind it. My plan right now is to push it's 50's attributes and take my old man for a cruise down memory lane:)

My Dad in his 3rd gen. He is a Ford man. "Note the custom overhead cubby" He was proud as shit of this van:) He was pulling a pretty big trailer with a 2nd gen. 302 4bbl with small tires. Used to pull thru the Rockies! I'll find pics next time I go home.

This is the rusted out car I sat in and fell in love with as a kid. My uncle bought it when he came back from Nam, it spent it's entire life on IA gravel roads. It's rusted beautiful ass was sitting in the driveway on my 14th Christmas!!!

I did a complete restore on it when I got out of the Navy. I sandblasted it in my parents driveway, I'm glad my mother is still speaking to me, and there was metal left to work with.

My truck is supposed to be here this coming weekend. And I'm pretty ramped up obviously:) I just quit an ass kicker of a job and this will be a nice release for me until I figure out what the hell to do next!Smile
