Excellent! Looks like you've got a Deluxe Club Wagon there with all the chrome extras, side trim, parking light trim, bumpers, mirrors, etc. Does it have the dash skirt inside? What a Great base to start out with!!! Looks like some other nice rides in the background as well.

    Let the Fun begin!!!

Welcome Shifter! That is a good looking van. Do you have any upgrade/modification/restoration plans?

    Thanks guys.
No dash skirt inside, but yeah it's a solid old thing despite its weathered paint.

Lots of plans, starting with getting it legally on the road here. Biggest part of that is the brakes will need a once over and seat belts installed. There's a few hoops to jump through with that process so would make sense to retrofit a rear seat and seat belts at the same time.

I'm also not sure of how it goes. The carb needs work and as the brakes don't brake it's a bit of a guess. Runs on all 6, doesn't smoke so good start. 170 is my best guess.
Actually came with a late model 4 litre six from an Australian 2010 Ford Falcon (n/a Barra motor) that the previous owner planned to fit but I'm not rushing into that option. If I did I'd be heading down IFS path at same time so suddenly turns into a monster of a job, well beyond my limited skill set. Which means lots of money!

So, first step is to get it legal, running and braking with rear seat.
Second step will be dropping it a couple of inches via re-arched springs, and then tidying up the exterior a bit to protect it from our harsh weather. Been talking with Victor out of California about sourcing bumper and few other bits and pieces and I have all replacement window seals on their way via Steele Rubber and Dennis Carpenter.
I can see me buying enough Dynamat to put the local distributor's kid through college too!

And that's all based on the motor being ok! Could be the big spanner in the works.

Hi, I may be a newbie to you... actually I am more of a returning newbie as I was here many years ago when I had a early enough ‘71 Chevy van (with a HOOD). And had a ‘66 A100 ex-camper turned to cargo van. All were sold long ago.

Now I seem to have a itch to want a early van to have as a project running van. Any of A, G or E as long it’s a cargo with windows in rear doors. I still have some parts leftovers for a E van, so that might be a bonus if I find a E van.

I will try my luck in searching one that I can buy within my budget I have saved up awhile. I’m close enough to WA state or nearby states to B.C. Canada where I am in ... but with the border closed until end of July if our governments agree together to open up or not. I can wait until then.

Thanks for welcoming me back, I’m sure I will find something to read In The forums.

Thanks for the welcome. Appreciate your help in helping out. I had been keeping an eye in BC listings ... mostly in local areas, but I didn’t check further outside of greater Vancouver region in B.C.

Funny thing is that I had finished my job on a client’s 1963 Econoline cargo van with bodywork. It’s now in primer stage with paint done inside. After prepping the exterior panels, it will be painted then assemble back all parts on. I wonder if this client is also a member here? 🤨
