Re: Welcome Newbies to VintAGE-Vans.com!
Hi all.
I live in the UK and have been lurking here for a while and trying to get a van.
I finally committed and bought this A100 from Arizona, it arrived in the UK on the 12th Dec and
was delivered to me on the 22nd.
The body is not bad, the worst bit is the front floor pan. the barn door lower edge will need work but they are not too bad, i've seen a lot worse.
I'm getting a list of the stuff i need to order from the States, rubbers and the like, so i can get a start as soon as it warms up a bit.

Hi Guys.
Thanks.
Yeah it is a 2nd Gen Ford in the background, not mine though, it just came in on the same shipment as mine.
I don't know any more details or where it was headed to.
Thanks.

Re: Welcome Newbies to VintAGE-Vans.com!
What's up VintageVans.
The names Zach from socal. Just picked up my first van project after looking for a non panel shorty for a long time. Here's my new to me 72 beauville.
Bought it unseen from an auction (I'm a california vehicle dealer)
As soon as it got delivered started pressure washing it -
Threw on some new pin whites
Now just currently running through it to get it to be a reliable daily driver / cruiser. Gonna drop it a few inches, find some misc odds and end and we'll be vannin'.

Re: Welcome Newbies to VintAGE-Vans.com!
Welcome to VV ,Zach. This site specializes in the early hoodless vans but we love them all and we do have a section called Early-Enough for Friends and Guests where you can post updates on your progress and anything else you might have questions about. Lots of friendly helpful people here and some also own later model vans as well.

Welcome Zach. Do I spy an early Bronco in the background? For some reason I have always loved those things.

Greetings everyone,
I'm Greg from Kingston, WA in the Pacific Northwest, USA. I picked up a 69 G20 108 Display project recently. Found the forum here while scouring the web researching the van, you all seem like a great bunch of folks. I'll start another thread with the van story, just wanted to say hello for now and this seemed like the best place to do so.
Cheers

Re: Welcome Newbies to VintAGE-Vans.com!
Welcome Gregg!! Look forward to see your ride, especially if it's a display van with the windows on the passenger's side and the solid panel on the driver's side. For some reason, every time I see one, I'm drawn to them and have to take a second, third, fourth and fifth look... it would probably drive my wife crazy because she likes things symmetrical but I kinda like the uniqueness myself. Nice to have you with us!

Hello everyone. Just joined. I'm looking to purchase an old classic from 60's or 70's. Don't want a full restoration project though. Any advice on where and how to start looking?

Re: Welcome Newbies to VintAGE-Vans.com!
Hi Kmac , do you have any preferences, Ford, Chevy, Mopar? Panel van, Windows , van or pickup , camper, etc...shorty or extended??? Keep checking our listings and if you know what you're looking for, you can also post a request in the A, G or E's wanted thread to see if someone on this site has one for sale or a lead on one. If I know what you're looking for, I can keep an eye out for you when I do my searches for Chevy listings. Good luck with your search. I'm sure you'll find just the right one for you! Or it might find you...sometimes this happens to.

Re: Welcome Newbies to VintAGE-Vans.com!
Hello first time poster - sans van, I've always wanted a van since I was younger but they seemed to allude me over the years,I'm sure I could of got one in the 80s for nothing but those days are long gone.
Been checking them out last couple years getting a good idea on price, wanting early of the big 3, kind of prefer the 2nd gen for the fords, 1st gen for the chevys but that might be nit-picking, prefer a v8 and manual though(3 on tree for sure I could swap out a v6 later), also panel as I'm a painter by trade, so something with mechanics done would be better for me but I realize I'll be sinking time and money into it regardless.
I'm at a point to buy, been lots of vw down here in Florida lately but not many earlys, keeping my eyes open to get into the game. Enjoyed lurking the site last couple months.

Welcome TVan! Just keep checking the listings and you will find what you're looking for...sometimes they even find you! Don't just jump at the first thing you see...unless it's THE one! You know your limitations and your preferences, so just be patient and you'll know when you see the RIGHT one for you!!!

Re: Welcome Newbies to VintAGE-Vans.com!
Hi all.
New owner of a 64 Falcon Club Wagon here. Always loved the early vans and sold a car last year so figured it was time to do something about it.
Funny thing is that I'm from New Zealand and they're not exactly what you'd call common...the first time I saw one of these vans in real life was the day I picked mine up. I believe it might be the only one in the country for now so might be the only one I see for a while too!
Look forward to checking out the site and apologies in advance for the dumb questions I'll no doubt ask in future!
Cheers.

Re: Welcome Newbies to VintAGE-Vans.com!
Congrats and Welcome to VV, Cal!!! Love the window vans...You've come to the right place. Lots of friendly, helpful people on this site. Lots of knowledge and experience here also. The Search tab at the top of the page is a helpful tool also. Just click on the search tab, type in a word and voila, threads that deal with that subject. If you ever have a question, feel free to ask and the more detail and pictures you have to show what you're talking about, the better.
Can't wait to see some pictures of your ride!
