I want to replace the Two short pieces of heater hose located in the Front heater,
They probably are original. Do i have to remove the Heater assy. or anyone have any tips ? Thanks in advance. cheers

You mean the heater below the radio? Those hoses are quite long - passing all the way to the waterpump/intake manifold. It's a pain to replace them, routing all the way back. But the heater can stay in place.

If you mean the tubes coming from the heater inside down to the grille, for those you need to remove the heater.

Edit: my heater has two tubes going through the footwell to the grill, and the heater assy looks pretty original.

Yes, Heater below radio. There are two short pieces of heater hose (about 4'' Long) inside the Heater Box from the Heater core. They don't leak but the thought of 55 year old heater hose is something i want to replace. I am doing a Coolant change and all my other hoses have been replaced fairly recently. So this is the time to get to those Ancient hoses.
    Thanks for the reply. cheers

Uhh, I just took a slight glance *inside* the box years ago. Couldn't tell off my ageing grey matter, if there are hoses or tubing only.

I just rebuilt my heater, and used a kit that had all the rubber and gaskets. It is 5/8” heater hose.

What I need now is the proper ducting for the defrost vents scratch
