Re: New guy A108
Handled the new exhaust this weekend. Chopped off the headers that were welded on to the pipes and the pipes practically turned to vapors they were so rusted. Had to make some minor modifications to make the new pipes fit in the headers. Got it all together and getting them welded together at the neighbors tomorrow. Gonna wrap them after thats done. Love that stuff.

Nice work! Looks like those pipes were READY for replacement! Is the wrap to help dissipate the heat, like burn protection for curious types or those of us who tend to bump into things???

Yes instead of heat shields. I use them on my motorcycle. Also I love the look too!

Re: New guy A108
What started out as some rust removal and a small patch job has turned into a bigger patch job.
My end result is not a show van or for it to live another 100 years. Just gonna make it water tight with some patchwork and bondo. I cut out the real bad areas and cleaned up the little holes and treated everything with rust inhibitor.

Re: New guy A108
It's one of those looks good from 20 feet away paint jobs(Earl Sheib LOL). That's OK though, the undercarriage is way clean and it protects the body for now until I can afford to get a decent paint job. My grandson loves the flames!
