hahaha I love that little drawing you did there, why does it not close, air cleaner? What size is yours? Some previous owner of mine put a 318 in it.

Re: 1966 A100 Sportsman
yeah I thought that was pretty neat, not really any importance to it though, if anything it limits the amount of air it gets. Its your call, but I would recommend removing it. Then you could close the lid too.

Re: 1966 A100 Sportsman
Ok,
Gaskets are now on order.
Spray painted the steel wheels black so the hub caps seem to float
Who has the best LED taillights?
Mirror suggestions needed. Got the small round ones that look cool, but I'm going to be pulling a small pop-up this summer.
Bumper suggestions? Mine are not so good.

Re: 1966 A100 Sportsman
No offense taken Jeff. One of the POs put 'em on there. Someday there will be some nice chrome tips coming off of there. If money's no object, some exhaust cut-outs to scare the crap out of the left lane bandits

Exhausts?? Thats just like me =old skl type- just as we all learn on our vans- we do need the pipes to exit on the sides as the fumes will backdraft us. I also like the custom exhausts exiting in rear side areas thru the cutout body lower panels. Yet -too expensive for most of us ol guys- money better used somewhere else mainly- great colors!!

Ohh, I don't know, it's sooo far away and I won't know anyone there. Of course I'll be there!!! Hell, I went to all three of Taz's deals last year WITHOUT a real van and had a blast! The wife enjoyed it too, so I had that goin' for me
Now if only I can remember to bring some Excedrin to keep those killer headaches away. That was like the worst ever! Some hospitality, a little nap, some food, some otc drugs, bonfire and a yard full of vanners and earlys helped put me right though.
When is Bakers and what's the estimated drive time pulling the pop-up? May have to do that one solo, especially if the tunage is still missing.

Ok, Googled jm2c. Got it!
I was thinking stacked chromed pipe. There's a pretty A108 8 door that has pipe nerfs on the front and a Chevy rear bumper that looks fine. Would like something a little more impact resistant up front though.

Yep. Always have to keep the back windows closed for that reason. Quite a shame, we would get a nice breeze from back there.

Re: 1966 A100 Sportsman
Got called a "Slacker" the other day, but I have a lot of other stuff on my plate, so it's cool. At least I'm making money this year and the poor van isn't rusting away.
Have the Solex green tinted windshield glass with the dark blue sun block band on order. My guy isn't too thrilled about the new door glass channel gasket between the vent window and the door glass. If he can get some better quality stuff, I'll let you know.
Also have to order a 96" x 130" plate of 3/16" Solex split at 65" A lot of glass for a little van. I may be selling extra blanks if we can't get 1/4" thick glass to go in the rear window gaskets
