Re: Digz's 65 panel
Interior ?? Want to start with these.
I would like to do some panels with black vinyl, head liner and sides, floor something flat and an automotive type carpet, maybe go with some kind of orange accents, thats all in the time/money/changing idea stage, like maybe next year . Dash may have to be repainted to match seats better, I had some dark grey sealer primer available when we did the dash and its a light grey under the exterior, big difference, that and 2 different brands of paint but same color code. I went price shopping on paint in between. I just want a clean look , no beds and stuff,, would rather have a rollcage!

Re: Digz's 65 panel
Your van has come so far in just a short time. The closer to the end things move faster because you see the light. I remember that feeling with my 69. With the 64 still seems quite dark LOL

Re: Digz's 65 panel
Joe,
Van looks great. Be careful with those seats! They have issues fitting in our vans, the bottom's are about 21' wide and that works. The wings on the back rest flare out to approx. 24'. I got a pair really cheap and no matter how you move things in the van, they won't work...... Now having said that. Those orange/black ones would look awsome in your van!

Re: Digz's 65 panel
Thanks for the input Dan. I will check into that more closely, Havent made the buy yet, still have the roof to go and going to do some wet sanding also, Not being used to the HVLP gun got me alittle, not horrible but not good enough.
Looks nice in a pic tho,,
Also finally realized the no-handle cargo door must be off a 2nd gen, first saw that the body line at the top wasnt the exactly the same and then realized the fabric stop strap mounts differently, sooo, does anyone have a 2nd gen stop strap around, they must be a little shorter??

Re: Digz's 65 panel
Joe I'm going to put an external trans cooler on my 67 like the one you have. What kind of lines did you use to hook it up, hoses or metal?

Re: Digz's 65 panel
I used both, metal for the frame run and hoses on the connections at both ends. The unit I got is 30" long and is a tight fit in there X ways, the end towards the M/C is no problem but the hose end is crowding the leaf spring using the straight barb fittings.
Also Mike , I have not been able to find any user feedback on these, so it may be a gamble that it will do the job.

Re: Digz's 65 panel
Joe I just got an 18" for the power glide with the I6. I figured it had more capacity than the stock cooler and had to run cooler outside the radiator than stock in the radiator. Hope I'm right !!!!! I figured if Don put one on the Blue NO Door it had to be good. Going to find some kind of aluminum radiator next. I'm looking at one on e-bay but going to check with a local shop before I buy anything. I think either one of these would work by just attaching a piece of angle to the brackets and bolting it in just like my original. Just not real sure about the filler neck location but doesn't really look like it would be in the way of anything.

Thats alot of coin for an aluminum radiator isnt it? I got mine from white performance was only around 135 or so I think for comparable size.

Re: Digz's 65 panel
I finally "Drove" it out the door for some sunshine !!
I don't think I have ever been around an enamel paint color that light and shadow messes with so much.
I had to buy another Quart of paint and put an extra day into it but I'm very happy with the results now, Not to shabby for a couple glorified ditchdiggers and a garbageman.
