Re: new guy's '64 panel
Welcome aboard big cooler! Looks like a Great candidate for saving. Looks pretty solid. Lots of very helpful folks on this site with great information to share as you begin working on her. Feel free to ask any questions and pictures are very helpful to clarify what you're dealing with. If you specify which town you're in, there might be someone close by that could give you a hand sometime or let you know about some local connectionsfor van stuff, etc...

Nice Save! Looks all original too even down to the 64 rectangle mirrors on long arms! Welcome to the site, look forward to seeing what you do with it. Do you know it's history, what type of work van it was etc?

Re: new guy's '64 panel
yep, a 48 year old plumber got it new in 1964 in Portland Oregon. in 1971 he and his wife "pearl" moved to southern Oregon. He obviously loved the van. There are oil change stickers that go back to '69. It was parked in the field when he was 82 years old in 1998.
One wife, and one van.
We're going to call it "Pearl"
