So I have alot of slop in my steering column in my '67 and finally got around to taking a closer look at it. Removed the aftermarket steering wheel and have parts missing but not quite sure what was all there to begin with...The horn contact was broke... when the bearing is pushed down, it's nice and tight with no slop. Is there any springs or clips that belong in there?

Re: Steering column part break down?
And basically, there is a cone shaped washer that fits over the steering shaft onto the bearing in the turn signal switch to center it,,,,then a spring,,,then the steering wheel goes on and FINALLY,,,,you go down to the bottom of the steering column, fight with the rubber boot covering it, and loosen up the clamp and the bracket in the middle and PULL UP the column to where you like it and tighten it all back up,,,,,
