Thanks for letting me in the group.  I just found my dad's 67.  It has been missing for 35 years.  Long story but the short of it is, he passed away 3 weeks ago.  He was a car guy so my brothers and i were talking about all the cars he had in the past.  We could not account for what had come of the van.  We thought he might have left it with an old friend.  I tracked down the friend and discovered he had died 2 years ago.  But sitting on the hill at his house was the van.  I got in touch with his son and now the van is back in the family!

Sorry for your loss... Are you going to try to get it back on the road? I'm sure Dad would approve! Good luck and keep us posted on what you decide to do with it. A lot of us on here have stories we can relate to about these vans. There's plenty of folks on this site who are willing to help out with any questions you might come up with along the way. We love seeing them saved so that they can keep on vanning... cheers cheers cheers

Yes i plan to get it back on the road. It will be a little bit i am in the middle of a frame off restoration of a 55 chevy 4door. Then i was going to start on my 57 Nash but might work the van in between. It will not be as big a task as the Nash. Trying to decide how to go with it. i am a big fan of original but this van was pretty plan. I have some wanting me to make it in to the Mystery Machine. I am a big fan of purple so was thinking of "The Purple People Eater" with the odd bumper guard that was put on. Will keep checking out vans on the site and keep thinking about it.

Sorry for your loss of your Dad. Welcome to the site.
What motor trans is in your Dad's van. 67 was a switch over year for GM. Your van has some 1 year only parts(left over's) Look's to be in good shape. Post more pics when you have the time(we All like pic's)

Thanks savage. I have not had the time to do more research on motor and trans. I didn't know it was transition year, sounds like my Nash. It is in good shape only a few rusted through spots. I understand being in a place where rust never stops. Deep south there is always heavy dew and the water is working on the metal all the time.

Also Savage did you raise up the rear end, it is naturally higher or do you have bigger tires on back? I like the look just wondering how it got it

Yes Both vans came for my Friend Mark(108VanGuy ) in CA in 07.
I'm not sure if casting # will tell if its a 230 or 250.with out pulling head???
The G-20 got more leaf's in the springs in back. & I think I had 78 in back with 60 on front when pic was taken(free tires) Now its got 235/70 on back with 225/70 on front
