Happy to say that I found a '69 G10 panel, with the help of the posted craigslist (texarkana) ads posted here. Thanks, I've been looking for a couple years off and on. I had a '65 flat window panel in the '70's/'80's for 10 years. Lots of stories with that one. I'm considering doing a 4WD conversion on this van, anyone that's done one, please share some tips. Right now I need to find a gas tank as this van doesn't have one. Are any new ones available?

Thanks Jeff, I've been lurking for a couple years looking for a van. Really wanted another flat window but couldn't find one with a decent body. The van that I found is from W. Texas is practically rust free, but for some reason one of the previous owners removed the gas tank. Help! :-)

The 2nd Gens have a 24 gallon gas tank,,,,,,,the 1st Gens have a 16 gallon,,,,,,,so a 1st Gen would fit,,,,,you would need a 90 ohm sending unit for it, but that 16 gallon tank takes a lot of filling up,,,,,,,,,HOWEVER,,,,,,,I did some checking on a 3rd Gen gas tank and it sure seemed it would fit a 2nd Gen,,,,,,so,,,,,do you have a wrecking yard nearby that might have a gas tank on a newer than a 1970 van to check out a tank?

thanks donivan65, and G-man. G-man, it's the 69 maroon 90" panel in Texarkana craigslist, that you listed here. A west Texas truck with virtually no rust. It's a 3 on the tree 6cyl, that supposedly runs very well. I think I'll put and OD auto trans in it, paint it and drive it for awhile, while I'm gathering info on a 4WD conversion. The original color is that green teal. Has anyone repainted that color? How does it look? I have a '70 Olds (hence my screen name lol) 442 convertible, that I did a frame off resto on. It's "Aegean Aqua" kinda similar paint color. --> https://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2029958&id=1243391707

Welcome Olds. When you mentioned Texarkana,I remembered it.Post up some pics when ya can. That 442 looks good.A bud of mine had a '74(?) Olds.I split my head more than once with that long 'tooth' attached to the hood workin on it.

The transporter hasn't even picked it up yet, it's still in Arkansas. That Olds was most likely a '70 (same as mine) with the "tooth" hanging down. It's a killer lol.

Welcome aboard. For such a small group this may be the best such "club" I've joined. Maybe it's so good because it is so small. Also, I rarely see people flame each other about stupid stuff that seems so common on the more common boards. Happy motoring!
