New member!

Hey everybody! Brand new member here. Just bought a 1969 Chevy SportVan 90 Deluxe. In very good shape, just needs a little tlc and a motor. I have already found a lot of good info on here. I work for an auto parts store, and have been restoring cars for along time so hopefully I can chime in when someone needs advice or help. Looking forward to being an active member. Thanks!

Thanks for all the welcomes! The van is showing 42k miles, and is said to be original. My neighbor bought it from the original owners, and elderly couple, and was going to scrap it! Luckily he decided it was too nice, so I bought it from him. They used it originally to go on camping trips, and parked it many years ago in a carport. When they finally decided to get it going again, it had a knock in the engine. They had the engine removed and the shop attempted to rip them off, so they brought it back home and it sat for several more years until they finally sold it. I first bought it just to re-sell it, but have really grown to like it alot and have decided to keep it. I am looking for a good running engine to go back into it now.

Here's a few more pics. The vintage cooler on the backseat was included in the purchase. I am looking for some original hubcaps or some better wheels for it also.

and here i was thinkin' those old caprice caps looked pretty good!

The van is in beautiful condition ,What engine was in it ? Bill

Originally a 250 with a t/h 350. Trans is still in it. Engine is in the back, but they had pulled the head off and the cylinders rusted up really bad from sitting. Haven't decided if I want to go back with a 6 or drop a small block in.
