Re: 65 Sportsman
I’m sticking with the old slant six and 3speed. The original one needed a full rebuild so I found a low mileage one from a 71 Dodge 1 ton National Guard truck.

Took me 9 years to finish that car. It was a disassembled, wrecked, rusted out heap when I hauled it home. Don’t ever want to do one that long again!

Looks great now... You did a great job of bringing it back from the dead.

Re: 65 Sportsman
It'll all be worth it in the end! Just think of how great it's gonna look when all is said and done...After 50 years, your van deserves to be pampered and brought back to life. If it helps your motivation, I think your doing a Fantastic job on bringing it back to it's former glory. You are doing it the way it should be done. It's like eating an elephant...one bite at a time. Please keep the pics coming. it's inspiring to the rest of us.

Re: 65 Sportsman
Lot of Real Estate there! You're really picking away at a furious pace...but it's well worth the effort for results like that. What color blue is that? Sharp!
