    Intake line Empty Intake line

I noticed a lot of 200ci intakes have a line coming out of the intake manifold. Is this a coolant line? Anyone know where this line routes to? Mine is currently plugged.

The Falcon Six's "log intake" doesn't have coolant running through it. I'm not sure if mine has one, but I'm almost sure it would have to be a vacuum line. I suspect it might be for a brake booster. Just my $.02.

Could also run to the PCV valve. How is your valve cover vented?

Yeah, if you have a PCV connection on the carb base or carb adapter you won't need that hole. As said, it is a vacuum port. You may need it for C4 trans modulator or a brake booster ect.

Ok cool. Thanks for the info. My valve cover isn't vented, but the carburetor has a line (attached - green circle) that connects to the pcv.

It is vented, it draws air through holes in the perimeter of the bottom of the fill cap.

Usually brake boosters use a larger diameter hose as it needs air (cfm)  as in vacuum. ALL small sixes have the log intake of which it would be impossible to get water in there or kill the motor. I would suspect that is as simple as for an automatic transmission as Seth said.
Its pretty obvious on the 1st picture that the person is using the water heated base plate under the carb and so why would there also be a cooling line at the vacuum line ????  Follow the water heater hose coming from the water pump and up to the carb....
