So, I'm having my 318 bored, RV cammed, and using 360 heads. I'll be putting a 4bbl carb on it too. This A-108 is being built to tow a travel trailer. My engine builder is recommending an Edelbrock Performer Rpm 340/360-Part #7176 aluminum intake manifold. His concern is about height clearance for the carb/air cleaner under the doghouse lid. I haven't done this "upgrade" before, but I know it's been done many times. Anybody have any recommendations?

Re: 318 upgrade
I am using a Air Gap which I believe sits a little higher, the issue will be you need a offset air cleaner, with the Air Gap the lid holder rod had to be removed which was okay for I plan to make the lid removable with spring latches both front (stock) and rear (added). If yo nedd I can shoot a side picture with the lid down.

Re: 318 upgrade
I think I'm going to go with the "standard" Performer #2176. It's better suited for the space (thanks for the pics, busman78!), and rated for better low end torque (0-5500 rpm), which I want as this A is used for towing a travel trailer. Already have 3.91 gears in the Sure Grip rear end. I'll need a new set of headers. Don't really want to mess with having #5 tube modified on the old set I have. They came off of a '67 I had that someone had notched out a small area where the box met the floor. My next question is: What about running a larger capacity oil pan and pump?
