I have a 2004r trans from a bone yard that I would like to put behind a 292 in my van I'm redoing. I've seen there seems to be a few who have done the trans swap to the 4 speed auto. I've seen lots of reference to the numbers on the tag riveted to the trans but can't find anything about the number on this one. It is supposedly out of a 84ish monty carlo. It has the dual bolt pattern housing. haven't seen anything with the H E code. I've found many Chev blogs but no mention of this. Has anyone seen this code or can anyone come up with a link to where it many be?
    Thanks

Thanks Kookyk. I was kinda hoping it would explain more if it was a good on or just a typical 200.
I found a site that talked about putting in a positive pressure valve body from TCI that eliminates the need for the TV cable to be set to control the pressure. If I understand it correctly, by using this PPVB, the TV cable is only used for kick down to passing gear. Not sure about the TC lock up yet, haven't got that far yet.
