Gonna Have To Sell It Empty Gonna Have To Sell It

Post by Owlvan Sun Aug 28, 2016 9:22 am

Hello. This is a new account but I have been to this site for years. I am the owner of this van: https://vintage-vans.smugmug.com/Chevy-GMC-Vans/Atoms-64-Chevy/

It's gotten to the point that I am only able to start it up once a year and I just keep it under a tarp. It runs good now, but that won't last long at this rate. I love this van, and it belonged to a deceased relative, but dangit I got layed off and that killer van is just sitting there rotting.

Any advice on how much Its even worth? Starts right up and drives, newish electronic ignition, newer wiring on entire charging system, has a straight 6 from a 68 that I replaced the original 194 with, I have a while but check of extrs like the original air cleaner and mirrors and an extra dash, door panels and more. I am up in Vancouver Washington.

    Thanks for any advice!

Sorry to hear about your layoff. Unfortunately, that seems to be a common theme these days. Nice looking Chevy. Do you still have the GMC also?

Is the hole where the camper roof was still there? I think you'd probably have an easier time selling if that top was replaced or a sheet metal roof welded in. I'm sure someone would love to have that for a project, especially if they could find a camper pop top for sale.

Yeah that's a problem for sure. Just old plywood in that hole and the new owner would definitely need to deal with that. Thanks!
