    Hello everyone -

I'm new to the forum, and I am looking for a '67-'70 Chevy shorty in good shape for a project vehicle that I can carry across the finish line (or just get in it and drive!)  I try to keep an eye on the For Sale listings here on the board, but thought I'd reach out to the membership in case someone might have a jewel that they might consider parting with.

I had a '66 Econoline when I was a teenager.  It was a former NASA photo van that I bought through a GSA auction for $300 in 1970.  Did all the work on it myself and even though I loved that truck, what I REALLY wanted was a '68 Chevy 90, but couldn't find one for the meager money I earned selling snow cones and cleaning cages at a local veterinarian.  Lol.

I would prefer a panel van with rear windows only, but would most definitely buy one with side cargo door windows if its in good shape.  A factory V8 would be nice, but a 6 cyl is not a deal killer by any means.  (I would like to install air conditioning!)

Located in Houston, Texas, but I can have it shipped.

a 1970 is the same as the 1968 and 1969,,,,,,,and,,,,,,the only thing different on the 1967 is that it does not have the side marker lights on the doors,,,,,,,so we consider the 67-70 Chevy/GMC vans 2nd Gens,,,,,,,,so you could have more vans to choose from,,,,,,,,,

Thanks for the info.  Having been away from the game for forty years, I haven't been in tune with those details.  I would edit my original post, but I don't see any tools to do so.

I really like the torch red '69 that has been re-listed to eBay a couple times, but not sure of the true value of that vehicle.  I assume its worth the $20K the dude is asking, but it hasn't sold.  I wonder why?

Ok,,,,I changed it to 67-70,,,,,,,,,,these vans are an acquired taste,,,,,the rest of the World don't care or understand them,,,,,you will never get your money out of them,,,,,they are not worth much,,,,,they are unsafe, undependable and uncomfortable,,,,,,,so we modify them to make them better,,,,,,,and we are here because we love them,,,,,,,You might get more help if did a post up in our General Section,,,,,,,something like FIND ME A 67-70 CHEVY VAN,,,,,,,that would get the Ford, Dodge and Corvair guys on the lookout for a van,,,,,,,they may know one in their neighborhood,,,,,would not hurt to try,,,,,,,,,

It hasn't sold because he paid all the money at Barrett Jackson Rolling Eyes (not a vanner, just a FLIPPER No ) and now it is just a money tool Evil or Very Mad , it was a members on VCVC, I believe Woodchuck. It is a extemely nice van and I myself would love to have it, but not at $20K. JM2C
