Post by dennis wagner Wed Jul 01, 2015 5:21 pm

    1) Has anybody installed the one piece front door glass in a 61-67 econo. successfully going up and down?
    2) Has anybody installed power door window kit and if so, which company?

    Thanks, Dennis Wagner

I have taken my glass out of the back doors for body work and primer. Put them back in no problem. Seals were old and brittle but with lots of windex they slid right back in. Use the cord method and you should have no problem. Takes 2 people to do it safely so you don't drop the glass. One person inside pulling the cord through the seal while the person outside pushes OH SO GENTLY to get glass to stay in the opening. The cord goes inside the seal lip where the window opening edge will end up when cord in fully removed.

Both have been done. I do not remember where I saw it.

I found an old note where someone used a "ninety-something Bronco" window motors. He mentions the motor was pop-riveted in the Bronco, and having to enlarge the opening on the Econoline door and weld the piece back.
