Welcome to VV Vangoat. I know there's plenty of info in the forums about that. Click on the search button at the top and type in "200 swap"...here's one

    and another

It should bolt right up to your transmission. The 200 is a good fairly easy engine swap for these early Econolines and will give you plenty of power.

Do you have the original transmission? 1961-1962 has the access cover on the side. Starting in 1963, the access cover is on the top. The top cover transmission is much better than the side cover transmission. A 1963-1964 Econoline transmission (top cover) will bolt right up to your engine and frame. You will need the 1963-1964 driveshaft as well.

Does your 200 have 3 or 5 freeze plugs on the side of the engine? They made a change in mid 1964. The 5 freeze plug engine is the better one, but either is better than the 144.

Yes it will work. That transmission is not synchronized, so you just have to be careful when shifting.

The 200 is a direct swap. Like said before, you want the 200 with 5 freeze plugs if at all possible. The othter that had 3 freeze plugs is somewhat of a unicorn that very few were made and I'm not sure of the parts differences. But as far as the engine swap it will bolt right up.

The earliest 200's only had 4 main bearings like the 144 and 170. This changed mid '64 to the seven main bearing block and is the reason the later block is preferred.

I recently did this same swap. 200 for 170. The intake was different on the 200 as it is integrated with the head. I had to fabricate a throttle linkage to make it work. Other than that it was very easy.
