I have seen JB weld do wonders. I would try that then after it drys a little sanding and it wil be hardly noticable

This type of metal CAN be welded. I had the pot metal grill on my '65 Barracuda welded. Apparently it's really hard to do and the welder will likely say "I only get one shot at this, and if I blow your grill apart I won't be held responsible".
This was my experience and he did a fine job, but asked me to never return with another!

Ive heard that there was a low temp welding rod to tackle a task like that. I picked up 3- 61 or 62 imperial headlights, two right and one left. the two right ones are broke, the bar that holds the headlight buckets together cracked. Im going to try the JB weld first. Think they will look cool on my 41 IH hot rod. They didnt cost me much, fished them out a dumpster from a garage clean-up. ( something im not allowed to do when the wife is in the truck with me )
