restoring emblems.

After cleaning and buffing emblems. What paint did you use for the red & black emblems? I was thinking some touch up paint taut matches the colors. I am keeping all emblems as they are all intact but pitted. The survivor look is good for me. Also, was the small circle after MERCURY a black circle or was there something else there?

On my ChevyVan similar side emblems, I used a small brush with some flat black acrylic model paint, thin and easy to work into the corners of the letters.

If you really want them "restored" send them out to a specialist. There's an outfit in Spokane, WA that does this type of work. They strip and copper them, then repair, polish, re-copper, polish and chrome. I've been considering making some spin molds for these emblems from recoppered and polished but not chromed samples Wink
